Your standalone merino legging. Thicker and warmer than our baselayer legging, built to wear on its own to the trail, around camp, or wherever the day takes you.
Merino Wool Midweight Leggings
$140.00
Your standalone merino legging. Thicker and warmer than our baselayer legging, built to wear on its own to the trail, around camp, or wherever the day takes you.
Built from 230gsm 100% merino wool, the Adventure Midweight Legging is designed to be worn on its own rather than under other layers. Thicker and warmer than the Iksplorer Baselayer Legging, it holds its shape through full days of activity and keeps you genuinely warm without needing anything over the top.
The high waist with drawstring sits flat and comfortable all day — no digging in, no rolling down, and no bunching under other waistbands if you do choose to layer over it on colder days. The drawstring update introduced in Fall 2024 was an immediate hit with Iksplor families who called it a game changer for fit and function.
Merino regulates temperature naturally, so the Adventure Midweight Legging works through a wider range of conditions than a standard legging. Cool enough for active days on the trail, warm enough for cold mornings at camp, and odour-resistant enough to wear multiple days without washing.
Sizing note: Fits true to size with a comfortable, relaxed cut. If you have a curvier build through the hips or prefer more room, sizing up will give the best fit.
Looking for something to layer under ski pants or jeans? The Iksplorer Baselayer Legging is our lightweight next-to-skin option.

I was hesitant to buy the extra small leggings because I am 5'6" and 117 lbs. I have purchased both smalls and extra smalls in other wool brands. The smalls are too big and I constantly have to pull them up. The extra smalls fit but are too tight in the gusset and rip. I am happy to report that the extra small leggings fit and are extremely comfortable. I would love an extra inch in length, but they fit and don't pull or fall down. The drawstring keeps them up. I would buy several pairs if only there was a pocket for my phone.
So comfy, cute, and keep me warm. I love the color, the easy to clean, durable fabric, and the waistband is intentionally designed to keep these leggings up and around my waist which I love!

Love hearing this! Thank you Catalina!!
I’ve used plenty of other merino wools brands but they all feel cheap quality after acouple washes. This has certainly been my favorite fit and I think the drawstring makes it less casual. Absolutely going to buy again in another color!

Thank you for the awesome review Jennifer! Absolutely love these photos of you in the leggings!
These are AMAZING! I have a hard time finding leggings that fit. I need a high rise and cannot stand a tight band. These are the first wool leggings that I’ve tried that have felt perfect from the first moment. I will be ordering these in all the colors. I’m 5’ 4”, 155 pounds and I’m in a large.

Thank you for this awesome review and for sharing photos!
I typically wear a small but the stitching on the bottom of legs is tight. Might exchange for medium but disappointed because while the pants themselves appear to be packaged in biodegradable bag, the outer packaging appears to be plastic (I could be wrong but it's not like the pic of paper bag shown on the website). And, they're marketed as 100% wool and I was excited to find a pair of natural fiber pants without an elastic waistband but the drawstring appears to be plastic. So close!! Please-- 100% biodegradable packaging and clothing. Id pay extra for a cotton drawstring :)
I love my Iksplor layers. I am 5'4, 115 lbs and bought a size Small. It is a little lose on the waist but I have larger legs and bottom so I think an XS would be tight on those parts. The thick waistband is my favorite!
Very happy with these. They’re my second pair so I can have one to wash and one to wear. Having twins a couple years ago means I can’t wear tight elastic bands like most wool leggings have. These are gentle for my stomach. I’m the sort of person who is always cold. I wear them under jeans or leggings in my everyday life, literally every day. Stealth warmth! I haven’t been cold all winter, which is a big deal. My first pair still looks perfect even after wearing it all winter. I wash on gentle in the machine and air dry, no fading or pilling. Very happy with this purchase. Worth the price. My only wish is for a nice dark maroon or deep forest green color next year.
I'm 11 months post partum, 5'4", 115 pounds and I purchased a small. In this photo, I had worn these one time while running.
I'd been eyeing these up for months before finally buying. I loooove the color! To me, the sizing feels a bit generous as I'm generally a solid small in bottoms. However, after 2 kids, I'm finding my body has changed and sizing is different now. Right out of the package these were too big in the waist area. When pulled up all the way, the fit in the legs and thighs is good but the waist is the issue being too loose. There is no XS small and I really wanted/needed base layers so I decided to keep these. For my body shape and size, I probably won't buy another pair unless XS becomes an option.
These pants fit true to size and are so soft! I am in love and can’t wait to stick up on more pairs! I’m 5’4” and am wearing a small. Love the comfy waistband too.

They look so great on you! Thanks for sharing a review and photo!
I absolutely love these pants! I’ve worn them on every single camp trip this summer. The fit is so amazing being newly postpartum. They’re extremely soft and so comfortable. Because of the extra soft & wide waist band they do tend to feel stretched out after a few days of non stop wear. So the day they offer xs I’ll be all over those! But for now being 5foot6 and 145lbs, 3 months postpartum, the small fits fine! I can’t wait to stock up on all the colors!
It’s called a legging but it’s saggy in all the wrong places on my body, and also has an unfortunate seam that makes my ankles look large. Perhaps it’s a jogger that just isn’t cut for my body type?
Quality outstanding. Love that it's a longer length. Love the drawstring cord around the waist and that it's not compressive like normal leggings. Im 5'10" 140lbs, normally size up in my leggings and bought a medium. Fits perfect. Please make more in jewel tone colors

Love these leggings! They are warm and fit well under my hiking pants and my snow pants. I was worried the drawstring waist would interfere with the waist of my “regular” pants but it lies really flat and I’m surprised to say it is one of my favorite features - with it the leggings aren’t falling down or adding an uncomfortable elastic mark like a lot of other baselayer. The wool is super soft and the color is beautiful.
I have the old leggings, but just received the new and improved (Fall 2024) leggings with the drawstring and high waist. They are a GAMECHANGER! Will be living in these all winter long and beyond.
I love these! I love the fabric so much. So soft!! As a person who only wears skirts, this base layer has revolutionized my winter wardrobe! The first time my legs have been warm when I play outside with my 1 and 2 year old boys! I will say they do stretch out to the point of falling down after 1 to 2 wears. That being said, I might have needed a size larger than I bought but they have been out of stock for so long I just went for a size down. Would love updates on restocking timelines! Will likely buy again when black size small are restocked.
Store owner replied:
Thank you for this feedback!! We are updating the next restock with a design change to avoid them falling down. 🙌 We will update site soon with all restock times. So sorry for the delays!
I really wish they offered a 2x. I am an 18/20 pant size, and I can get the xl on, but they look thin and feel tight.
They are so comfy and warm I want to wear them everyday! I was worried they wouldn't stretch enough to be comfortable on my pregnant belly, but I didn't notice any pressure.
Very soft pants with comfortable waistband that stays up. A bit long for me (a 7/8 length would be amazing) at 5'6" and 150 lbs, but they tuck into socks just fine.
Great base layer and fits the curvy body well. Was a little skeptical since they only had up to XL but it fits very nicely and I can wear clothes over it.
