The Kids Merino Adventure Dress is built from 100% merino wool, which means it does everything the baselayer does but in a silhouette your kid actually wants to put on. Temperature-regulating for warm days on the trail, warm enough to layer over the Iksplorer Long Sleeve and Legging on cold ones. The long sleeves provide natural UPF 50 sun protection, so there's no need to fight about sunscreen on covered skin.
The pockets are real and deep. The skirt has proper twirl. And the merino means it comes out of the wash looking exactly as it went in, ready for the next adventure before it's barely had a chance to dry.

These dresses are by far my favorite wool item that I've bought for my girls. They're the perfect weight, the perfect length for hiking, and an amazing fit. The pockets and spin factor make them something my girls want to wear every day. For a 6 day camping trip in coastal Maine, these kept my girls comfy for miles of hiking and for hours in the car to get there. It also kept them warm in the drizzle, and burn free in the sun. The amount of shells, rocks, and other treasures they transported in those pockets was astounding. I seriously want one in my size! These even held up to falling on the rocks over and over and over. And as a PSA both girls were ok after the fall in this video, but I thought it portrayed the reality of traveling with kids perfectly.
Since my 8 year old is the one that wears this dress (and loves it), I thought I’d have her write a review of it herself with some grammar corrections by me ☺️:
“This dress is really nice because it’s warm, comfortable, and beautiful. It is perfect for hiking and for weddings. I hiked Zion national park trail. It was so fun! I think you should buy this dress! They have pockets and they whirl!”

My daughter is obsessed with dresses, but I usually never let her wear them to her forest preschool because… well, “cotton kills.” Today, thanks to this extended fall we’re having, I told her she could finally wear this one. This is the perfect twirl dress! I was looking for one that was made with sustainability in mind with a simple, clean look, and this one fit the bill. It twirls beautifully and it has pockets, which every toddler/kids needs!

love love love! I got two of these dresses for my 6&3 year old and they love them! They're great even in the summer time and I know we'll get even more use out of them in the Fall. I really like the length of the dress, it's fun but not short like many other brands that wind up being a little inappropriate for young ones without shorts. Thanks iksplor - your items rock!
